Nero The Lion

This is a coin operated automaton, commissioned by the Aston Hall Museum, de-picts the lion which escaped from a travelling fair in Birmingham in the 1920’s and was missing for 3 days. It was finally captured using with the football net belonging to the famous Aston Villa football club. The Aston Hall museum is one of Birmingham’s most treasured buildings.
